Media monitoring methodology
During this monitoring, an expert is considered as a person who is given authority to, explains the facts, their use, context, performs an assessment of the situation; the expert has a status of non-interest, impartiality and independence in relation to the facts/situation being commented on; the issues in question are not directly relevant to the activities of the expert. A person who implements state policy or is a member of the parliament not considered an expert in this monitoring.
Monitoring sample: January 1st, 2021 – December 31, 2021. Different national media channels have been selected for monitoring – radio, television, news portals, the press and those programs and sections (news portals) where the probability of expert evaluation is the highest.
The aim was to select only the original content of the news portals, therefore the monitoring did not include articles published on weekends, content of partners, articles from news services ELTA, BNS, repulsed articles of other portals and publications prepared according to the content of TV or radio programs.
